Priors Hill Copse

As in the past your volunteer team did an absolutely splendid job for us on the 3rd. Next morning I went to see what was done. It was one of those rare occasions when I felt truly impressed.

With the thick bramble growth taken down to ground level the ‘display area’ for bluebells and wood anemones should look splendid next spring. Clearing that area takes our team two or three work sessions every year so the work you did last Wednesday has freed us up to do other work in the copse.
Importantly several of the main paths have been considerably widened and the brambles pushed back. Really great! Narrowing of those paths has reduced the variety of plant life.

We are very grateful for the help. I do hope we may be able to tempt you back some time in the future.

Sponder’s Mede

On behalf of Otterbourne Conservation¬†Group I send my thanks and gratitude for all the work, clearing, bonfire and posts along the track that you did October 27th on Sponder’s Mede. Thank you to Barry and all who came and worked so hard.
