Stay safe. Covid19 might still come back as Covid21.

3 weeks of hard work

Like everyone we went through 2 periods of lockdown in the 2020. Last July, following a risk analysis, we restarted working in covid-aware ways, again delivering benefit in the countryside. Now, in 2021 after another 3 months of lockdown we have resumed volunteering. Many of our regular clients have missed their winter clearance programmes so we’re starting with a number of construction and fencing tasks.

What we do?

The Wednesday Conservation Volunteers are a roving  group of volunteers in south Hampshire who undertake practical conservation tasks to enhance and create valuable habitats and improve public access to them.

Who do we help?

Our aim is to assist land managers to meet their responsibilities for conservation. We work for a wide range of organisations, most of them public bodies, including Hampshire Countryside Service, National Trust and various local Councils.  See the previous dates page for a fascinating list of venues and tasks from recent years.

What do you achieve?

Learn new rural skills, build your confidence with the camaraderie of friends. Enjoy working outside in the best of Hampshire’s countryside knowing you’re making an active contribution to nature conservation, environment management and other related activities with public benefit.
