Chawton 4

Event Details

Jonny at Chawton wrote to us with this task update.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back next Wednesday.

You’ll be clearing an area of Adela copse ready for future tree planting. Julia and I have brush-cut the perimeter, so we just need to clear between the lines next Wednesday (protecting some desirable trees). We’ll also have a fire.
It’s mostly bramble bashing, with some small trees to fell. I’ll bring our two brush cutters which WCV volunteers can also use, if you’re happy.
I’ll meet you all on the old Gosport Road, between Home Farm drive and Chawton House drive, at 09.30 and will bring my trailer to transfer WCV bags/kit. Cars can follow me up Home Farm drive and across Knickerknocker field if it’s dry enough and they’re happy to off-road. Otherwise it’s a 1/3 mile walk.
See you next week
