Work to be described. Likely to be a mix of scrub clearance, planting and a little fence mending over 2 weeks. Some or all of the following
Wednesday November 19th – Chawton House
House and gardens will be closed.

1 Annual clearance of brambles and scrub for the snowdrops and bluebells at the usual site just south of the house.
2 Cut down some elder and dead elms
3 Clear planting areas and dig holes for 8 new cherry trees. If trees are available we will also plant them.
There will be a Bonfire.
Tools required
Two chainsaws, plus all cutting gear – Bowsaws, Loppers, Hedgecutters and possibly brushcutter.
3 or 4 spades and some rakes and pitchforks.
Please do not leave the car park until everyone with defibrillator, power tools or heavy / cumbersome tools etc. has arrived.
Wednesday November 26th – Adela Copse (Mingledown Wood)
Park in Chawton Village Car Park by the pub – https://what3words.com/river.
1 Continuing the clearance of the copse ready for more tree planting, and possibly some replacement tree planting.
Tools required
Two chainsaws, plus all cutting gear – Bowsaws, Loppers, Hedgecutters and possibly brushcutter.
