The Itchen Valley Country Park extends south of the M27 to Mansbridge. To mark the change from winter work to summer tasks, we have been asked to renew a 125m length of stock fencing, needing 6 strainer posts, near the M27 embankment. Kevin to lead. Vegetation has been cleared away from the fence line. Farm jack to pull the old posts out, earth auger and hard hats to put the new posts in. Bring your hammer and a container for old/new staples.

Week 1. Soft black earth made driving intermediate posts a lot easier which contributed to us finishing the job in 1 day. With 2 days booked out to IVCP we’ll be back soon to do more fencing at a different location.
