Last year there was a high success rate for our hedge planting despite the hot summer. We are invited back to Manor Farm to plant more hedging whips with canes and guards. About 2000 this time. Plus a few bigger trees too. The plant varieties should have a high degree of mixing, no clumps of the same plant type please.
Week 1 saw well over 1000 hedging whips planted, 11 trees staked in and some remedial work done to last year’s planting that had been damaged by uncontrolled livestock.
Week 2 will require further planting and 2 pond related tasks. Please bring wellies for working in mud or shallow water.
Park in the main carpark near the play barn. Walk in and meet on the bench seats in front of the play barn for task briefing
