Netley Common of gorse


Event Details


A day for HCS cutting gorse, brambles and birch on Netley Common with a bonfire. All power cutting tools on duty. JohnR to lead again. Brian bringing Coffee-time cakes.

The work will again be near the cattle corral half way down towards keeper’s cottage.

Park in the centre of the common as we did in December.

The following photos show progress at the southern end of our coupe.  Apologies to colleagues who also made great inroads at the North end but do not appear here.

Based on a 2020 aerial image WCV (& FONC) have recently cleared the yellow area. Red area represents the target for a 3rd visit.
