Work in River Hamble Country Park. Week 1 of 2.

We are asked to refurbish and reinforce steps and fencing that go down to the shingle shore. Date chosen for a low tide at midday. Work plan will contain various elements :-

#  patch repair stock fence, posts and top rails

#  install short runs of new stock fence (minimal tension) and top rail.

#  repair southern steps at the shore with new sleeper timber

#  repair work to 2 flights of steps up the earth slope

Earth auger and 1 chainsaw required for trimming new sleepers and oak posts etc, no felling.

Park in the Barnfield carpark near the new cafe then walk about 400m down to the river.

Riser to replace. RHS to rebuild. New lower step to add.

Access to be blocked, top and bottom.

Fencing repaired at the northern steps.
