Wendleholme

Event Details

This event finished on 22 February 2023

Confirmed, 2 weeks at Wendleholme for Hampshire Countryside Service.  (Reed burning cancelled). Typical winter clearance of scrub, brambles and immature sycamore trees. All chainsaws, hedge trimmers and brushcutters on duty please. Likely to be at least 1 bonfire, maybe 2 as directed by Martin. Task leader Baz. Bring your PPE.

Since it has stayed dry most cars can drive down the rough track to park near the work location. Those with low ground clearance should park as per the venue notes.

Week 1 went well in clear sunshine. Much mechanised and manual labour. Three bonfires. Pictures below.

Week 2 will involve working our way West towards the river.
