Fencing Bevis Mead

Event Details

Install about 120m of stock fence, posts and strainers. Kevin doing the Eastleigh risk analysis  paperwork and will lead. The line has been cleared by local staff.

The field is adjacent to the river and is prone to being soft but the recent dry weather has firmed it up nicely. No need for wellies.

All to be fully covid-cautious and we’ll probably be divided into 3 small teams to work spaced out. Also note that this task will need several teams of guys to drive posts into the ground, this will require the wearing of clear visors to avoid puffing directly into each other’s face. So please bring your visor if you have one and are strong enough to drive posts.

Note the changed parking location.

Photos of the work …

Coffee break under rule of 6.

Itchen Valley Country Park. Job done. A straight line of bent Chestnut posts.

Collecting the loose ends.

3 meter spacing of posts and workers.

Mike tidied up.
