Events at: Itchen Valley Country Park

IThere are copious brown signs to Itchen Valley Country Park all around the eastern outskirts of Southampton.

 

Some of us will make our way to the A27 between West End and Swaythling. The south end of Allington Lane starts at the roundabout by the applegreen petrol station. From here head north over the motorway and turn left at the country park sign.

For others of us the north end of Allington Lane starts in Fair Oak near the New Clock Inn. Head south and if you cross the motorway you’ve overshot the turning.

For days of woodland clearing please proceed to the far-end carpark on the right.

 

.

 

For the March fencing task park in the first carpark on the right, before you get to the Woodland Cafe. The work location is over the road behind the cafe and a pleasant ramble across the water meadows.

 

.

 

Normally a parking charge is levied in the carpark and checks are made to enforce this. We will be issued with visitor passes which must be clearly displayed in each of our cars. Please ensure you collect one and display it before walking off to the work site which may be up to 1km away.
