Compton village is located just off the A34 about 3 miles south of Winchester city centre.

Most of us will drive north up M3 to junction 11. Others will approach via Twyford and the Hockley traffic lights.

From the roundabout that gives access to the Park and Ride carpark go north on the Hockley link to the roundabout at the south end of St Cross road. Here take Otterbourne Road which heads South.

After 0.7 of a mile at a dip in the road turn West into Compton Street which runs generally West. Drive carefully on this narrow road in this direction till the tarmac runs out.

Park neatly in the Cox Croft farmyard on the RIGHT (not the house on the left).

Mind the free-range chickens.
