Events at: Mercury Marsh

From M27 J8 drive south past Tesco, down Hamble Lane towards Hamble Village.  Turn left into Satchell Lane just after the Hound roundabout.

To spread the parking congestion …

if the last digit of your car reg is odd park in the ‘usual’ place
Turning left into St Agathas Road and continue to the end of Kingfisher Close. The map pin is here.

If the last digit of your car reg is even take the next left into Mercury Gardens.
Park in a considerate fashion near number 35. SO31 4NZ .
Walk towards the sea then left behind the houses.

Or park near the junction of St Agathas road and Mariners Close and walk via a track on the right in Mariners Close.

A track runs along the edge of the marsh behind the houses. Meet at the soggy green at the end of Kingfisher Close.

Reed collection and burning for HCC (Southern Sites), task leader Steve Mawer. No parking on the grass area, as it caused a lot of moaning last year with the grass being chewed up due it being so wet and this year has just been as wet. Refer to venue above for directions.

It’s 5 years since we last collected and burned reeds at Mercury Marsh. Our booking in 2020 was the first cancellation of Covid lockdown.
