Events at: Itchen field

Work site is in the field that is sided by the main road and Kilmeston Road at New Cheriton.

A poor choice is to park at the Hinton Ampner NT house and make the long walk back down to the work site.

.

Alternatively park in the lay-by just west of the work site.

.

People bringing heavy equipment should park neatly in Grey’s Farm Close.

Fencing for NT Hinton Ampner in the field that contains the Itchen stream. Particular focus on repairing/replacing the fence line next to the A272. All power tools may be called upon. Task leader – comme d’habitude. Refer to venue above for directions

Autumn work for National Trust in the Itchen Field. Hazel coppicing and hedge thinning in week 1 Hedgelaying week 2 and another bonfire. And put in half a dozen intermediate fence posts using Paul’s tools. Meet on Kilmeston road through the gate. Bring high viz waistcoat or similar. Well done guys.
